First public version


Hello everyone, this is the first public release of the game. Several key mechanics are already in place, altought not in their final envisioned shape:

  • Resource mining
  • Selling items/Buy orders
  • Crafting, blueprints, and machines
  • Drone enhancements
  • Combat

There are 7 levels to explore, 2 weapons and 4 bosses. The ship and shopping areas will become frequently visited places later in the game.

Now when this page is set up, I can return back to development. Based on the initial comments, things to work on very soon include:

  • Blueprint recipe in tooltips (so that one does not have to load it into a machine)
  • Easier item management (right mouse to move items)
  • Fast travel between ship and shopping areas
  • Energy usage and management (for crafting and fighting)

Major items left:

  • Dialogs/communication
  • Devices (prospecting tool, resource scanner)
  • Mainframe (# of bots, bot upgrade, complexity of running programs)
  • Prospecting
  • Story animations/intro
  • In-game story
  • Save/load game
  • Level editor
  • Localization

Meanwhile, enjoy the game! You bought the "Prospector's Pack" - a small space ship with basic equipment - and you set off to search for precious resources. You land on a dwarf planet and you very soon realize something went wrong. Aside from not landing in the expected destination, early events indicate that owls are not what they seem...
