In V0.28, I made some important decisions to reduce the complexity of the mechanics and move closer to successfully completing the game. The most important change is the removal of the ability to control multiple drones. The player will only control one drone, although temporary companions are still an option. At the loss of potential gameplay designs that would require multiple drones to work together, it allows for easy conversion to consoles and simplifies game controls.

Another subtle but important change is the removal of restrictions on the extended cargo inventory - all items can now be stored, including concrete slabs, kits and modules. This takes some of the headaches out of managing and transferring items.

Gamepad, keyboard/mouse and keyboard-only controls are now available in game settings. Support for inventory managementis still missing and will be part of upcoming updates.

Gamepad controls:

• LS/RS - zoom in/out
• LT/RT - in-game action selection
• X - perform the selected in-game action
• Y - open inventory
• LB/RB - quick bar selection change
• A - execute a quick bar selection

Keyboard controls:

• PageUp/PageDown - zoom in/out
• W - select an in-game action
  
• E - execution of the selected in-game action

Other changes:

• fade in drone in new game
• faster camera tracking
• drone is always selected and drone selection rectangle is now hidden
• selection resets to attacking target when clearing current selection
• close button not available in drone info
• defend mode always enabled for keyboard/gamepad mode
• mouse cursor not visible for keyboard/gamepad mode

Bug fixing:

• tooltip size calculation now respects the exact font size
• tutorial messages now shows new control shortcuts
• action buttons are now updated when a wall is destroyed or when an enemy dies
